Sarasota Harbour West (SHW) was built in 1963
and is considered to probably be the oldest
condominium complex in Florida that was built as
condominiums, not a hotel or motel. It consists
of 4 concrete block buildings, 98 units with 6
one bedroom/1 bath units, and the rest either 2
bedroom/1 bath, or 2 bedrooms/1.5 or 2 baths.
Other amenities include our large swimming pool
and clubhouse, on probably one of the most
sought after land locations in Sarasota....
on the bay with amazing views and with boat
docks. It is a 4 block walk to St. Armands
Circle, shopping, restaurants and night life, as
well as some fun weekend festivals, art and car
shows. Just two blocks further is the
lovely Lido Beach with white crystal sand and
turquoise water. A morning walk in just 15
minutes takes you to some of the best shelling
in the area.
The neighboring 4 buildings are Sarasota
Harbour East, and they were built in 1965.
Both are over 55+ communities, with governing
rules that have stayed in place for years,
